c.1969 Cien Ge Toys, Battery Operated Batmobile in Original Box
The Red Batmobile! Battery operated tin litho with bump and go action, flashing emergency light and high pitched siren. Manufactured in Taiwan by Cien Ge Toys. Vehicle is in excellent++ to near mint condition complete with original box. Best of all everything works great! Superb lithography consists of a cherry red body with black raised side molding, solid black chassis, embossed headlamps, chromed front and rear grilles, and large single exhaust port. Most noticeable are the twin tail fins which end in translucent blue plastic tips. Large Batman logo on the hood covers nearly its entire width. Small bat emblem on the rear trunk. Batman and Robin figures have tin litho bodies with painted vinyl heads. They're seated between two lime green (front and rear) windshields. Flashing emergency light is in the center between the figures. Tires are solid rubber with embossed metal hubs and centered Batman logos. Chassis is all tin litho except for the battery cover which is plastic. Cartoon-like illustrated box shows the red Batmobile on the cover. Batman is not only behind the wheel, but also running in front of the car. Similar drawing repeated on three of the box aprons. The fourth apron includes instructions and schematic for proper operation. The "KH" logo within a circle was the Taiwanese exportation company, not the manufacturer. Size: 9½" long x 4" wide.
